Now Open: Off Track Betting at Casino Nova Scotia

Casino Joins Bedford’s Brewsters Bar & Grill as Truro Raceway’s 2nd HRM Location

Casino Nova Scotia’s Harbourfront Lounge has been transformed and is now home to an Off Track Betting or “Simulcast” room run by Truro Raceway. The space is also shared by the casino’s poker room leading to the new name – “Poker & Ponies”.

The location opened Monday, June 19th and features state of the art, real-time wagering equipment. There are 16 television screens showing live races from across North America, 5 automated wagering terminals, and a clerk who can help you learn the sport and teach you how to wager. Along with the poker room, customers can receive bar and food service directly from their seat.

For years Truro Raceway has offered Simulcast racing at Brewsters Bar & Grill in Bedford and the Trackside Lounge in Truro, Nova Scotia. Joe Nicholson, General Manager of the NSPEC Complex where Truro Raceway is located, says the second location in the Halifax area will help bring the fun and excitement of horse racing to more customers.

“We’re so happy to offer a third great location to our lineup. You can have fun with horse racing from across North America at our wonderful new space at Casino Nova Scotia.”

The “Ponies” half of the room is open 7 nights a week as well as Thursday – Sunday afternoons. For a full schedule of races go to www.nspe.ca/truro-raceway/off-track-betting.
